"Man the Builder"
The central figure of this composition is open to the intepretation. projection, or introjection of the viewer. Is it the ape, whose face has been removed and offset to reveal a scene of vibrant, non-linear abstract expresionisim? Is it the Egyptian figure represented in Classical form? The eeated one, or the standing one? Or is it perhaps the wind up tin spaceman taking aim with his weapon? Technology, art, history, evolution, and nature come together in this evocative piece blending many themes. Mounted to the back is a title card which reads, "Man the Builder, 8/20" and is signed by the artist.
