A dramatic scene of transmission, this piece brings together elements of the Italian and Spanish Renaissance, the plateaus of Tibet, the vastness of the solar system, an beyond. Drawing heavily from the  German art device of Rückenfigur, meaning "seen from behind", the figures are placed inside the scene as a proxy for the viewer, inviting the viewer to identify with the attitude or perspective of those in attendance. The entire piece is sealed under several layers of UV protected polymer varnish and topcoat, ensuring decades of color preservation and protection from damage. The Title Collage mounted to the back of the masonite reads, "Fire on the Mountain, 10/20."
